This is what our family room has looked like for quite a while. The table top accessories have changed a dozen times, but the plaid sofa was always what I hated. Well that’s going to be solved. This sofa is going to my son as soon as his new home is ready and I’m moving one in from the living room. So it’s time to play.
Changes I want to make.
1. Bring in beige sofa from the living room.
2. Change existing drapes to hang straight on rings. (not tied back)
3. New color scheme. I’m thinking orange, blue and lime green.
4. Wicker chair is being swapped out for another leather one. (also from the living room)
Some of my ideas
I am crazy about orange all of a sudden and when I saw this fabric on someone’s site recently it reminded me that I had some that I bought about a year ago. Sure enough I dug through my fabric stash and there it was. Lime green, and navy blue with this fabric looks so bright and cheery.
This is the drapery fabric and it’s the same color as the sofa. The walls are a cream color.
Since I am using orange, yellow and lime in the living room and the kitchen/breakfast area, this helps everything to flow.
I really want to use some of my blue and white pieces in here. The picture above the sofa has blue in her dress and I have a rug with blue in it in the breakfast area.
