Step by Step to Decorating with Cloches

Sometimes you have to try a lot of different things to get the look that you want.  I have a bunch of cloches and some wonderful Marble and Fabrege eggs that I want to use in a display for Easter on the dining room buffet.

First up I got out my Mr and Mrs Bunny and then arranged my eggs under a variety of cloches and on several different pedestals.  This just didn’t do what I wanted, so – – – – – – –

I removed the bunny’s and added back the silver pitcher with feathers that I had.  That didn’t do it either.

Next I added another cloche with one of my lovely southern belles.  Since I have two on corbels on each side of the picture in the dining room, I thought maybe this would work and tie things together.

Isn’t she lovely and such a pretty cloche.

I really like this southern belle too.  However, this cloche arrangement just isn’t what I want either.

Ok, so I removed the table runner, used a gold charger and a Fabrege egg plate on the stand and placed the eggs in different arrangements under the cloches.

I also added a ginger jar with a feather arrangement for some additional texture and interest.

Three brown marble eggs under this cloche.

This cloche is so special to me.  The cloche and dish were made by my friend Mary Ellen at
Mary’s Meanderings and given to me as a gift when I first met her 2 yrs. ago.  It always takes center stage in any of my displays.

Another Fabrege egg.

It still looked like something was missing and then I remembered my Bunny picture.

Now I like it.  The picture was the finishing touch.

Love this frame and the bunnies are just way toooooooooo cute.

Sometimes you just have to play with a lot of different things before you find something that you like and works for you.

Don’t forget this wonderful Egg-xellent Spring Party.  I will be leading things off with a “Cloche Party” on 3/13.  So get those cloches all dressed up and let’s party.
