I have been helping my son move into his new home, so I havn’t had time to do a lot of thrifting, but I did make a trip to the Dollar Tree and one stop at Goodwill. I found a treasure at each stop. Then I ran into Ross to find a few things for his house and I hit the jackpot there.
The Dollar Tree had these wonderful stems and of course they were just $1. I love the twisted black stem and the wonderful etched design.
See how pretty the grape design is. Love it.
Goodwill didn’t have a ton that I was looking for, but of course I just can’t seem to pass up a frame. I am pretty certain I saw this same one or something similar at Ross for around $8. This one was $2.
Just a little too shiny bright gold for me, but my trusty stain will fix that in just a jif.
I just glop on a lot with a paper towel, let it sit for a minute and then start to blot some of it off.
Looking better, maybe I should blot off just a little more.
The light makes it look super shiny, however it is a nice gold color with all the carving stained dark. It will need to dry for a couple of days, then I can play.
At Ross I hit the jackpot. I found a really nice blanket for my son’s new king bed, then I found 3 pair of sandals for me. All three pair were $12.99 each. Can’t beat that. This is two of them.
Love the gold leather and the gold beads. Everyone needs a little bling don’t you think.
This is a really cute black pair with some gold and copper beads. Love the big amber stones.
This is my favorite pair. Love how classic these are.
Just the right amount of a wedge. Not too high, but just a little heel.
The basketweave design of the leather is so pretty and the gold medal is lovely also.
All in all I had a great shopping day. Tons of fun things. So, have you found anything fabulous lately?
This weekend is the big final move with all the furniture into my son’s new house. I will be there helping and taking pictures to share later. Have a super weekend.
