I Did It

It’s not pretty, but I finished going through all the boxes in the garage and found a home for everything.  We took 2 loads to Goodwill and I threw away 4 huge trash bags of stuff.  I found a home for everything that I wanted to keep and now I can at least see it.  There’s an inset area in the garage just before you go in the door to the house, so I put a metal shelf unit and a door cupboard that we had there and it holds all of my extra decor stuff that I didn’t have a place for.  Not the prettiest storage units, but since we already had them,  it was free and it works.

Behind the doors are cloches and more fragile things, plus some of the larger kitchen appliances like the bread machine and roaster oven on the bottom.

The two blue bins hold florals and pillow covers that I love to change up all the time.

The top holds some of my really tall accessories.

Lots of figurines

Miscellaneous

 Different containers and corbels.

 Trays, basket and larger containers.

The white box is bubble wrap and the other three are family keepsakes that I will pass down to the kids.

Like I said, not pretty, but it is all put in one place.  I think I will put a cloth across the front of the metal shelving, that will keep some of the dust away.

I put my extra lamps and shades on the shelf in the guest bdrm, plus I was able to hang all the extra bedding on this side of the closet.  A plastic drawer unit holds a ton of candles, tea light holders and craft paints.  The other half of the closet is open for guests to use.

I need to find one of those flat storage containers for wrapping paper and ribbons.  I want one that I can slide under the bed and then I think I am done for now.  Nice to have things sorted out and a place to call home.

I am joining Stone Gable’s Tutorials Tips and Tidbits party
