I changed our tablesetting for the Hubs and I to something fun and casual. I am enjoying keeping the table set, it makes dinner time so easy. I fill our plates from the kitchen, so no bowls and no fuss.
I am using a rag-rug runner that I have had for years. Remember when these were so popular. I still love them. My favorite cakestand with faux fruit and cheese, a topiary and two sassy roosters make up the centerpiece.
We’re both trying to lose some weight, so I am using a smaller dinner plate for our entree’ , I am paying close attention to portion size.
These are such pretty cabbage bowls and they are good size. I am serving us larger salads so these works perfectly. Dinner usually consists of a small portion of meat or chicken, a steamed veggie and a large salad, light on the dressing.
The goblets are small, so we can indulge in a small glass of wine occassionally, most nights we have iced tea with lemon and then I serve it in a larger glass.
Simple casual tablescape, and perfect for the two of us.
