I am hunting for more and more ways to serve a meal that is low carb and low fat. I have a dish that we like and I thought you might like it too.
Sirloin, Broccoli and Onion – with soy sauce and garlic.
I started with a sirloin steak marinated in soy sauce and lemon juice over night to tenderize the steak. Then I sliced it and some onions and broccoli.
Salt, Pepper and a drizzle of Garlic Olive Oil on everything.
This is a one pan dish. Add a little olive oil to a pan, turn heat on med-high and then add all the meat, tossing and cooking till med-rare.
Remove from pan and place on a dish while the rest of the ingredients cook.
In the same pan, add the onions and cook and stir until they just begin to carmelize. Remove to same dish as meat.
Turn the heat down, add a little water to the pan, then all the broccoli and cover to steam until tender.
When done add the meat and onion back into the pot and warm through.
Place a generous amount on each plate and serve with a side of salad. I like to sprinkle a little soy sauce on mine for some extra flavor.
