Tomorrow is the last day – 8/24/12 – to enter for my Birthday Giveaway. Two of my favorite Decorating Books. Yes, you will get both and I think they are definitely must haves for your library.
One of my favorite decorating books of all times is Christi Carter’s Art of Accessorizing.
This book is fabulous and gives you step by step tutorials on how to create all kinds of vignettes on tables, mantels, bookcases and any place you can dream up to accessorize. She even shows how to do wall collages. I love this book, it is definitely a decorating must to me.
Starting at the top left photo, she shows how to decorate a hutch step by step.
This picture shows you how to pull a room together from start to finish.
In these pictures she shows and explains how to accessorize your bookcases using some decorative objects for interest and character.
On the top left she starts the process of creating a wall collage. Every step is always explained in detail, so easy to follow.
Now that you know how to create all those wonderful vignettes and displays, you may want to freshen up some of your rooms.
Another book that I would love to give you is Great Traditional Style. The title is kind of deceiving. This book is full of hundreds of room that are Traditional, Transitional, Shabby Chic, Ecclectic, Vintage Modern and more.
Look at this kitchen, isn’t is wonderful. Love the beadboard, the open shelves and that great island.
What’s not to love about this breakfast room. Old wood paneling, a fireplace and beautiful blue and white. Plus look at the wonderful lantern chandy.
