Well, I just recently did a review of all the major projects that we did this last year, but I really wanted to join the year end parties, so here is just a recap.
The Familyroom went through quite a few changes. It started out looking like this – –
then with a drape change and several different pieces of furniture, it now looks like this. You can see the entire post here.
The Living room got quite a few different color scheme changes and some new furniture too. I started out like this – – –
and with some different furniture and 9 different color schemes, it wound up like this. You can see the entire post with all the changes here
The hall bathroom got a few tweaks also. It is such a builder basic and there’s not much I can do without gutting it, but a few cosmetic changes definitely helped.
New accessories and mirror made a huge difference. It looks much more pulled together.
The Guest Bedroom got a complete overhaul from top to bottom. It had been a storage room for a few years, so everything was gutted and it got new paint and all new furnishings. A small room, so a soft camel color for the wall and small striped drapes that blend in.
I used all of my antiques that had been in storage, and even though there is a hosier, kitchen worktable, butterchurn table and lawyers bookcase, it all works. The hosier is a perfect desk. I did the room in a hunt theme. You can see the entire makeover here.
The Master Bedroom was the last room to get a complete makeover and almost all new furniture. It had looked like this just using what we had since we moved in – – –
After refinishing a new headboard, dresser and nightstand, all thrifty finds, plus some new accessories, it now looks like this. You can see the complete step by step here.
That’s it for this last year. It always amazes me how much we accomplish when we stop and look back. Now I think I will just enjoy for a while, but you know how that goes, you never know what changes might be next.
Thanks for stopping by, I always look forward to your visits.
