Master Bathroom

Our master bathroom got one of those really deep cleans yesterday.  You know the one with all the bleach, lysol and even toothbrush in all the corners type of clean.  So of course I had to take some pics after I created a really simple vignette on the counter.

This is the view as you enter the doorway from the bedroom.

Not really a big bathroom, but it works for us.

The counter is just big enough for double sinks and a small vignette.  The door to the left is the walk in closet and the door straight ahead is to the “necessary room”.

I had a floral arrangement here, but I thought the feathers looked more cozy, so I changed out the accessories.  Love this clock and the pic of my grandson when he was little.  (Hard to believe he is now 21) He is coming for a visit tomorrow night, I can hardly wait.

I have really enjoyed all the Frenchy looking bathroom accessories that I found at Home Goods last year, I think they add tons of character and this room has none.

A view towards the tub and you can see the shower in the background.  The walls are painted Valspar Fioli Antique Lace and I found towels that are almost identical to the walls.  Makes the bathroom appear bigger to not have too many contrasting colors.  Since I am using soft aqua as an accent color in the bedroom, I bought some aqua hand towels to coordinate in here. Handtowels are an inexpensive item to give a bathroom new character.  You can see the master bedroom post here.

I love my magnifying telescoping mirror, perfect for these old eyes to see how to put my makeup on.

A view of the side wall showing the tub and shower.  I love all the light from the window, plus it keeps the bathroom nice and warm too.

The picture has the same tones as the walls and towels, plus the frame matches the light fixtures.

Simple and clean.  Can’t get better than that.

Ok, now I need to finish the deep cleaning in the rest of the house.  I noticed that all the baseboards need painting.  Yuck, hate that job, but maybe I can get myself geared up to get it done while it is cool.
