Create Those Little Greenery Pots Tutorial

I love the airy ferns, succulents, and beautiful little plants you see all over the place, but I really don’t like the price tag on them. So I went to Dollar Tree and then to Hobby Lobby.  I picked up a selection of bushes, styrofoam, and a couple of succulents for around $20.  When I got home with all my loot I dug through my stash for pots, moss, and inspiration.

These are the first 6 that I made.

Buy feathery-type bushes that you can take apart to make several different arrangements.  All you need is a pair of wire cutters.

Take each stem and look at how many different stems you can create by cutting them up.

I still had so much greenery after the first 6 that I dug up a few more pots and made some more.

I thought this little urn would be fun to add a wicker orb too.  I had a few sprigs of ivy in my stash, so I added that to the base.

The succulent stem I bought had two buds, so I cut them apart and made two small little pots.

I used a small white jar for this arrangement.  I still have over half of this bush left to make even more.

I am still playing with vignettes, so I will show you where I am using the rest of them later, but I did use two of the small feathery plants on my desk.

Adding some small pots to a tray creates a great table centerpiece.

A couple of small pots is all this entry table needed to be inviting.

There are endless ways these small pots can be used.

A couple of small pots add tons of interest to these bathroom shelves.

I love decorating with plants, but keeping a real one alive is not my strong point, so faux will have to be it.  I have several more to make,  so I will show you those later.  How about you, do you faux?

You are always so clever, Marty!

I love faux plants, but my hubby doesn’t. 🙄 So they are far and few here. The upside is that I don’t get told no to fresh flowers. 😁

BTW My dollar store is very nice, but never have I found any greenery that is even close to yours. You are a very blessed gal.
