This week I am so thrilled to be able to feature and brag about Kathy at Creative Home Expressions for Show Off and Inspire. Her home is beautiful and she is one of the most creative people in blogland. She paints, sews and does all kinds of crafts. Her creativity and imagination just never stop. She has a fabulous etsy shop and also just opened her own booth in an antique mall. You will definitely be inspired by her.
Hi, I’m Kathy from Creative Home
Expressions and I am so flattered and thrilled that Marty has invited me to
be here today for her Show Off & Inspire series! I am a native New Yorker
now living in Ohio {two years the end of September}; just celebrated our 28th
wedding anniversary on the 5th; I have two adult children, Nicole {26} and
Anthony {22}; and one granddaughter, who will be 3 in July, that I can’t get
enough of. I love to decorate, makeover thrifty finds, sew, craft and do lots
of creative things. I have an Etsy shop and recently
opened up my first booth in a local antique mall.
Our move from Long Island to Ohio gave me an opportunity to make
changes to our home decorating ~ going from having lots of color to having a
more neutral background. We also downsized from a 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath
Colonial {3600 sq. ft.} to a ranch style condo {1790 sq. ft.} with 2 bedrooms
and 2 bathrooms. It has been interesting making this new place to live our home
after 21 years in our old house on Long Island.
I love finding old furniture and giving it a refresh. Now with
my new booth I will have someplace to put these pieces.
I also like to sew and blogging these past five years has
allowed me to step outside of my comfort zone and give some new projects a try.
Doing fun craft projects is something I enjoy and I can gladly
pass an afternoon absorbed in them.
But, most of all, I do love decorating and fixing up our
home.
