Today I am totally thrilled that I get to Show Off & Brag about Laura from Top This Top That. I love her style, humor and of course her blog. She is always up to something new, either a DIY project, decorating a room, or creating something fabulous in her garden. I know you are going to love learning a little about her and seeing her beautiful home.

Most people may not realize how I actually got started

in blogging. Would you believe a lamp shade. In fact this shade.

Yes it’s true.

But unfortunately the demand for lampshades weren’t as great as imagined, so I continued to do what I have always loved to do…..blogging about my DIY projects, home and garden.

About 11 years ago things really transitioned for my husband and I when we took a Sunday drive. We decided to change our lifestyle and purchase some land in the middle of nowhere in Northeast Georgia. Here we were, moving from a wonderful subdivision in Atlanta with grocery stores and shops within walking distance and a 1/2 mile work commute for my husband, in exchange for dirt roads, donkeys for pets and good ole country living.

A decision that we don’t regret and would not change for the world.

Although I have a love for design and DIY projects, getting my hands dirty (literally) is a passion for me. More times then not, you will find me working on outside projects, gardening or landscaping around the property and it’s possible on some weeks that I am on my tractor more then I am in my car.

What can I say, I am country girl!!

So, when I am not feeding the donkeys, the pony, the horses,the dogs, the fish, the cats or the kids you will find me working on some new projects or finishing ones that I have started.

and most recently I restyled my outdoor living space.….just in time to sit back, relax and to enjoy the summer, my kids and all of the work that we have accomplished at our home.

I feel so incredibly blessed and grateful to have stumbled upon this world that we call blogging. Thank you Mr.Lampshade and Marty for having me over today.
