Today I am super thrilled to be able to Show Off and Brag about Roeshel from the DIY Show Off. Her home is as stunning as she is, so you are in for a real treat. Roeshel is one of the nicest people in blogland, and I am so honored to have her here. Beauty, Brains and Talent, that sums her up to a tee.
Hi everyone! I’m Roeshel from DIY Show Off and what a joy to be here at Marty’s Show Off & Inspire this week! Woo hoo! It’s an honor to be here today!
At DIY Show Off, I share the budget friendly DIY transformation of our old fixer upper as well as encourage others to share (‘show off’) their hard work too. I’m happy to take you on a mini tour of our home today. Gotta love visiting online…show up at any time and casual attire is acceptable. The down side: Tea? Cookies? Wine? All virtual. But rest assured, the house is “real”.
Our kitchen makeover is still a work in progress but the transformation so far is HUGE.
The kitchen before sports orange-toned cabinets, a blue laminate countertop and vinyl flooring. Functional? Yes. Dreamy? Not exactly. Not even close.
The kitchen after: lighter walls, light gray painted cabinets, granite countertops, marble subway tile backsplash, wide plank bamboo floors and a dresser as a temporary island. We have a little more work to do but it's getting there and already cooking is more fun. Well, I wouldn't really know because Mr. DIY loves to cook but HE looks as if he's having more fun.
Quick walk through the dining room:
Moving along: Originally a closet/entryway, I'm thankful that somewhere along our home's history, a half bathroom was added. There's no such thing as too many toilets. Well, I take that back. There is too many when cleaning day rolls around.
We're empty nester's (hallelujah, we survived!), so this room serves as guest bedroom doubling as my dressing room.
And when the weather's warm, we love to lounge and relax or entertain here down below the barn...
Scared you, didn't I? Don't worry! It's a lot more inviting covered patio now...
There's more to see: You're welcome to stop by our home tour at DIY Show Off. One bonus to online visitors is the door is always open and it always looks as if I just cleaned for your arrival. 🙂
