2013 DIY Projects in Review-Happy New Year

It’s always fun to look back and see what you accomplished during the past year.  Some of my projects were big and some were really small.  Here are a few of my favorites from last year.

My $15 Frenchy Chair Makeover.   You can see that entire post here.  This is definitely one of my favorite goodwill finds ever.

The hall bathroom was my biggest project this year.   It got a complete makeover from top to bottom.  I shared several tutorials on some of my diy projects for this room.

I showed you how to remove a medecine cabinet and patch a wall . Recreating that bumpy finish that was on the drywall was harder than it looked.   In this same post I also show you how to antique a mirror frame.

Huge improvement don’t you think?

I also showed you step by step how to get an elegant look with double rods and hanging the shower curtain and liner from the ceiling.

This was a popular and fun project, an easy DIY Bathroom Tray tutorial.

In this tutorial I did a step by step on how to Turn Tacky Into Gold by redoing all those ugly plastic and ceramic figurines.

Here I shared how to make All Those Little Green Pots that are so expensive to buy and we all need  tons of for our vignettes–with just a few plants from the $1 store.

I also did a step by step on creating a new color scheme and adding a little French Country with checks.

In this project we discussed how to find the right lamp shade for a lamp and also how to repair a goodwill find.

After summer ravaged all the plants in the yard, I gave the patio a Quick Spruce Up.

Since Faudree is my favorite designer ever, I was inspired by him to create a new Wall Collage for the family room, this also showcases the rooms new color scheme.

This post updated some Country Check Pumpkins I made last year and – —

how to add a little sparkle to my Country French theme with some thrifty finds.

and finally – – –

I did a copy cat and swapped lamps in this post.

Along the way I also did about a million new vignettes and changed pillows and accessories about a gazillion times all over the house.

This coming year I need to do a little painting in the family room and I am saving for some new hardwood floors.  I wish you a very Blessed and Happy New Year and look forward to seeing what 2014 has in store.  So what are your plans for this new year?
