I had quite a few emails asking questions about the check drapes I showed you for my family/breakfast rooms. I thought the easiest to answer them here in a post.
Here is a picture of the room with the drapes. You can see the entire post here.
First as I said they are made from tablecloths that I ordered from a company called Boscov’s. I had a ton of questions about the quality since they are only $12.99 for each tablecloth. They come in different sizes, the ones I used were 60 x 104 inches. I needed 100 inch long for my drapes, so all I did was a 4 inch hem at the top to add extra weight to the header.
Here is a close up picture of the drapes.
This shows a close up of the weave of the fabric. It is a really nice medium to heavy weight linen type fabric. It looks really rich in person. As you can see in the above picture of the room, very little light shows through the weave, so they are fine not being lined.
Here is a picture of all the other colors they have. I have the black check that I am going to use in the guest room for a makeover I am planning and it is gorgeous. I also bought one of the green to use to make some pillows out of and it is a true apple green just like the picture.
Again, I have not been compensated in any way from Boscov’s, just passing along a bargain. If you order some, let me know what you think.
Hope that answers all of your questions.
