You are in for such a treat today. I have the honor to be able to Show Off Jen from
She is a designer, artist, lifestyle coach, speaker and now an author too. This lady is absolutely amazing. She is constantly renovating something or has about a million diy projects going on and she shares every step as she goes along. You are going to be so impressed, so sit back and enjoy.
I am so honored that Marty would ask me here today! I think she is so inspiring herself!
I am so happy to share a bit of myself and my home with you today! For those of you who don’t know me, I write the blog Jenniferrizzo.com. I am a blogger, Home decor designer, speaker,I teach art and lifestyle classes and soon to be first time author (My holiday book will be out in October 2014!)!
My home is a cozy split-level nestled in the suburbs of Chicago with my hubby and three girls Oldest, Middle and Little.
While I love a modern vintage cottage style, because our space is precious, everything has to have a use so we have a home that works for us.
I love to mix vintage with new and throw in an artistic touch and I love a neutral base with a touch of color!
Our kitchen had been an unplanned renovation that is still my favorite project to this day.
Our Bathroom is my second most favorite!
My blog itself focuses on projects to help people make their home their own.
Our homes should reflect who we are and how we use it, and it shouldn’t look like anybody else’s home.
I think home decorating can take a lot of experimentation. I am constantly moving furniture around. My husband says it’s never the same house twice. But, that’s one way we discover what works and what doesn’t. He also says every room of our home is 4 inches smaller because of all of the paint. That Mr. Rizzo. What a joker (I think!).
Such as these two pictures of my living room.
Same space, I just shopped my house for accessories and other pieces and swapped a few out here and there.
It’s a whole new space!
Our new project is a sub-level rehab.
Last year, we were in an area with major flooding, and had a huge loss of an entire level of our home.
We are now bit by bit renovating that space and making it fresh and clean and new again.
It has felt so good to finally get some drywall up again and start the slow process of making it a livable space again.
I hope you’ll stop over to say hi at my main site JenniferRizzo. com
and see the renovation as we go along! In fact if you like renovations, we rehabbed an entire home last summer. You can click here to see every project step by step!
Thank you so much for having me here today Marty! It was a huge honor!
