Today I am so thrilled to be able to Show Off and Brag a little about Stacy from Poofing The Pillows. She is such a gracious and talented lady. Today she shares such a touching story of how fabulous fellow bloggers are. I know you are going to love her story.
Marty, thank you so much for inviting me to Show Off & Inspire today.
I first thought of giving you a tour of our whole home but after really
thinking about it, I decided to show you a room that was
inspired by my blogging friends.
When we moved to this house almost two years ago,
I decided to decorate in more neutral colors as I’ve seen others do.
I love to look at homes that are decorated in a lot of white.
They seem to have such a peaceful quality about them.
I purchased white drapes and white accessories for our dining room.
We tried to love it but it just wasn’t us.
One day I talked whined about things just not feeling right in our dining room
or any where else in the house for that matter.
Two blogging friends immediately came to my rescue!
and Lisa at Fern Creek Cottage
both sent me Polyvore illustrations of what my dining room
could look like. They had both studied my Pinterest boards
and they knew my style.
I was so touched by their sweetness.
They could see so clearly what I love and we’d never met in person.
You’d be amazed at how similar their pictures were.
And so with their Polyvore ideas in hand the room was transformed in just a few days.
I added my beloved red back into the room.
Pulled out my red transferware and these little shelves that had been in the closet forever.
Found the perfect drapes at Country Curtains.
And in a snap it felt like us.
Now I smile every time I walk past this room.
I share this with you because home should be about your family
and the things that make you feel good.
Sometimes we lose our focus because there are so many pretty decorating styles.
Sometimes it takes a little inspiration from friends to help you remember. 🙂
