I love a day when I can just run around and shop. A day when I have no deadlines or time tables to keep up with. My son called and asked me if I would replenish his sock and underware drawers, you know how guys never buy those things. Since I was going out I thought I would just make the rounds and see what all was new in the stores, and of course I came home with a couple of goodies.
I always fall for anything that looks antique and this horse is so beautiful and looks like he is really old.
He has several layers of paint and is distressed so beautifully. It amazes me at how something new can be made to look really, really old. It definitely had my name written all over it.
When you get anything new, then of course that calls for a new vignette, so the coffee table got rearranged just a little. An old book, magnifying glass, turtle shell and globe work well with some faux greenery for a really ecclectic tray mix.
A stack of books and a tortoise tray and coasters finish off the table.
I will show you my other finds at a later time, still tweaking on them.
So, have you taken a day to just stroll through the stores and have fun lately?
