Since I don’t have a real office, I use the buffet in the breakfast room as my desk. Now it works just fine and it allows me to be in the center of all the action. Plus, since it is out in the middle of our living area, it forces me to keep it clean and tidy. I love to swap out the decor on it just about every time I dust. Do you do that?
I’ve had this antique brass inkwell for years. It has always been closed, but I thought I would make a pretend quill pen for it.
I filled the well with some florist foam and then covered it with moss.
Then I just added one of my favorite feathers. I leaned the inkwell lid partially closed onto the feather.
I love how it turned out. Super simple and it didn’t cost me a dime.
It’s nice to have a new look for an old item you’ve had for a long time.
