I am so excited to be able to Show Off and Brag a little about Brett from Being-Bianca. Now anyone with a huge smile and can laugh really big is about the cutest in my book. (I swiped this photo off her blog, I hope she doesn’t mind.)
Now doesn’t that just make you smile and happy all over. I think she is adorable and she is such a talented lady too. You are going to love her style and her home, it is just as stunning as she is.
Hey, y’all! I’m Brett from Being-Bianca.com; IT executive by day (and yes, it’s as fun as it sounds) … blogger, mommy to Lil B, serial re-decorator, chef for our family of 3 and creator of fun pretty much the rest of the time! Eek! Being asked by Marty to join you for the Show Off and Inspire series is pretty much like winning the blogging lotto in my book. I’m so pleased to be here and thank you so much for the opportunity, Marty! She’s just a doll and full of inspiration, wouldn’t you agree?
I’ve been a busy gal these past few months as we made a fairly spontaneous decision to pick up from the beloved home that we built from the ground up and move just two miles north to a new one. It’s been an adventure and there’s still no shortage of “to do’s” on my list! Now, while most of the rooms aren’t reveal ready just yet, you can sneak a peek at some of my recent projects over at Being Bianca. (Enhancing an inexpensive poster, Hanging antique prints, DIY oyster shell lamp, Outdoor painted rug)
I hail from Atlanta, GA and we call the suburbs of the city home. My style is true to my southern roots and I am just smitten with all things coastal, natural elements and neutral design. Just like any good, sweet tea drinking, southern belle; if it stands still long enough around me there is a sure fire chance that it will be painted gold or have a monogram slapped on it! This is the reality that my Dear Hubs, Lil B and diva dog live with each day (bless their hearts!). Take a look back with me at some of my favorite spaces from the house we loved and called home for seven years.
Y’all come on in! The Dining Room and Formal Living Room are the first two lovelies that greet you as you walk in. These rooms have evolved several times through the years, but I think this is the version I loved most. (Click on the title link below the pics to see more pics and details on these spaces!)
Pass through the butler’s pantry, or down the foyer hall and you find yourself in the Family Room and Kitchen. And, as strange as it sounds, I just adored our main floor bathroom … I think it’s the leopard wallpaper!
If you venture down a flight of stairs from the main living space, you find our beloved terrace level. This entire project was a labor of love for me and Dear Hubs; (who played the role of GC for the space). Many hours were spent here with friends watching sports, chatting and enjoying a cocktail.

And for our last stop on the tour, the back porch. This screened in space served as part family room and part dining space and 100% perfect for our family. Just one look at the sofa in this space and I’m ready to grab a good decorating magazine and settle in for a little reading in the warmth of the outdoors.
Now, I’ll spare you a look at our bedrooms and some of the other spaces before this begins to feel like your great aunt’s slide show of her 1980 trip to Hawaii! I’ve so enjoyed sharing a sneak peek of our home with you and hope you’ll join me over at Being-Bianca.com as we gussy up some brand new digs!
Ok, are you totally as impressed as I am with her gorgeous home and her style. I could move in there in a heartbeat and never want to leave. Thanks so much Brett for letting me brag a little about you, it has been a thrill to have you here. I can’t wait to see how the new home is progressing, I am sure it will be fabulous. If you don’t already follow Brett, be sure to rush over and click that follow button, you don’t want to miss a single post as she decorates their new home.
