Classic Black and White

When I did the post showing my crystal candlesticks and talked about an all black and white room, several of you asked to see more of the room.  I got several emails asking how to pull that look off without it being stark or boring.   I think this is such a classic look and something that any room can pull off.

I kept everything really simple and monochromatic.

The one gray pillow adds a little contrast to all the stark black and white giving the space a small touch of warmth.  Greenery always makes a room feel alive and warm too.

I think varying the patterns in the black and white pillows also gives the room interest.

There is quite a bit of texture in the pillows too.  The white one is beaded, the black one is sequins and the patterned one is done in chenille.

A great look if you want something quiet and simple, but still with a punch.  Just use a lot of texture and pattern.

So have you done a black and white room?
