DIY Ugly Sweater

Are you going to an Ugly Sweater Party?

My son asked me to help him make one for his company party.

I started with a red sweater, felt, jingle bells, pom poms, beads, letters and glue.

He came up with the design – – – – so fun.

We used the white felt to cut out snowflakes, reindeer and a tree, then used fabric glue to attach them to the sweater.  A red bow and wiggly eyes for the reindeer and bells for the tree.  Iron on letters spell out our HO HO HO and Bah Humbur.  I had a small stocking ornament,so I sewed it on and also sewed on a couple of small presents.

The leaping reindeer are out of the felt also.

On the sleeves – – – Jingle Bells

Batman Smells – – -remember those lyrics.

                                                                    CHORUS
Oh, Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin flew away,
Batmobile lost a wheel and the Joker got away, hey.
Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin flew away,
Batmobile lost a wheel, oh Happy Christmas Day.
(I can’t believe how popular that was for a while.  You can still find it all over Youtube)

The back has a small decorated tree and a fun quote.

Can’t wait to hear about his party and all the other “ugly sweaters”.
