How do you feel about drapes. Do you have a preference for pleats, grommets, sheared or just ring clips?
I have new drapes to use in the living room. I love the beautiful silky fabric and the gorgeous soft stripe. I need to cut them off and hem them, but before I do, I have been trying to decide how to hang them.
I could sew pleats at the top to achieve this look. It is a very professional and classic style.
Or since they have a rod pocket, I could simply shear them on a rod. This creates a pretty soft look that can be casual or can be hung so it has a formal look.
Or I could hang them like I usually do with the rings and clips. This is a really easy middle of the road look.
Ok, now give me your vote – –
#1 – Simple with rings and clips. (I could also use smaller rings)
#2 – Pleats – (I just pinned the pleats in and I would need different rings)
# 3 Sheared on the rod.
Here’s all three so you can see them all together. Do You have a favorite?
My daughter thought I should shear them, and my hubby likes this look also. I did the dining area window so I could see how it looked with just one style. Pretty, however I think it is a more formal look than the others, or is that just me? I’m not much of a formal girl.
So, what is your preference? How do you hang yours? Since they are going in this room, what will look best? #1 – #2 – #3
