Well actually, my breakfast area is not a room at all since it is part of the familyroom/kitchen/breakfast great room space. I keep calling it that, but it’s just one part of this overall space. Anyway, I finally finished painting and putting this area back together.
I thought the wall collage I had before looked a little too country for my current taste, so I changed things up a bit.
Still using the shelf and of course my favorite painting, but I changed out all the other accessories. I have a pair of fabulous wood wall sconces that I can’t find that I wanted to use with the painting, but since I still havn’t found them, this pair of brass ones will have to do instead.
A few books, candles and of course a little more brass found it’s way onto the shelf.
I am enjoying the addition of the wine cabinet in the corner. You can see how I pulled it together here.
Remember how it looked before – –
Now it is more tailored and less fussy. Perfect for my current taste.
P.S. The doorbell rang and my new chandy shades are here. Can’t wait to play.
Don’t you love it when a room gets a makeover, it just feels so fresh and new.
