Sneak Peak & How To Hang Drapes Professionally

So far I am really pleased with the way the living/dining area is coming together.  The new drapes are going to be such a pretty addition.  They are a beautiful silk beige and cream stripe that my daughter had in her bedroom, so when she bought some new drapes she gave these to me.  I love, love, love them.  I thought I would give you a little peak at what they are going to look like.

The fabric is nice and heavy and the drapes are also lined, so they needed a little training to hang perfectly.

One of my most popular posts is

How To Professionally Hang Drapes

I cover how to achieve those natural looking perfect folds – –

The right length – –

and I also discuss “finger pleating” as well as what I am showing you today with tieing the drapes for a few days to help them “remember”.

These drapes were quite long, so I need to cut off the other 4 panels and hem them.  I am so anxious to get the rest of the drapes up and finish this room.

See how beautifully they hang when they are “trained”.  Love the new white paint color (Reliable White by SW).
