I love my faux’s, however I do want them to look real. Since I use them all the time, I’ve come up with a couple of tips and tricks to make them look more like the real thing.
First of all, pick a flower that would be in season.
Buy enough to fill the container you plan on using so your arrangement doesn’t look skimpy.
Examine the petals and leaves to make sure they are shaped just like nature shapes them.
Thick stems look more real than thin ones. Be sure to cut each stem off of the bush so you can arrange them in a natural way. Use a container that camouflages the bottom of the stems, but shows how they would naturally fall in an arrangement.
That’s about it. Place them in a beautiful vignette and enjoy.
This is two bush stems that I found at Michael’s on sale. Flowers – $7 and DIY container – free.
How do you make your faux’s look real?
