Stenciled Walls – For My Bathroom?

I am loving the black and white that I have been adding and I absolutely love walking into my closet makeover and seeing my dot and dash black and white walls.  Time to do a makeover in our bathroom, so I want to do something fun to the walls, or at least a feature wall.  Since the closet opens off of the bathroom, I want to add some black and white and it will also coordinate with the new bedroom makeover.   I think all of the stencil walls we are seeing lately are amazing and I am itching to give one a try.  Here are a few that caught my eye.

I love these branches, they look so fun and so fresh.

Remember, this is the closet, dots and dashes – —

I could always do a  large pattern and make it really simple with a tone on tone.

This is definitely over the top, but taking just the leaves or part of it could be fun.

I kind of like these leaves.  Not sure if I can paint a wall black, but why not, I painted the kitchen Chocolate Brown.

This might look a little too safe, however I am really starting to love tone on tone.

In black and white this could be really fun, or this could be a tone on tone too.

This looks really fresh too.

I really like this one that Kris @ Driven by Decor did.  This whole makeover is amazing.  Now this really has my wheels turning, I could leave the walls the color they are and use a shimmer glaze or a white to create this look.

Now here is the problem.  All of these look really fabulous with white or dark cabinets and mine or a medium stain.  Hubby is not at all in favor of me painting the cabinets white or black.  I am working on him to consider a darker stain, we will see.

Here is the bathroom.  I love all the light that comes in through the huge window over the tub, it always makes it a happy space.  The wall where the vanity and mirrors are is the only wall space big enough to do anything with.  ( You can see in the reflection in the mirror, that there are only slivers of space on the side and back walls.) It could be a really super feature wall with the right stencil.  I currently have a flat weave neutral rug that I will be replacing, maybe a Persian type.  Have to decide on the stencil first.

You guys are all fantastic decorators, so give me some input.  What would you do?  How about if I stain the cabinets a dark shade?  I’m thinking new paint, stencil, mirrors, lights, faucets, rugs and accessories.
