Ever since I redid our closet and glammed it up I have been wanting to redo our master bathroom. My delima is the bathroom vanity. Now I could stain it darker like I did in the hall bathroom, (that was a ton of work and not sure I am up to it) or I could paint it and not sure I want to do that either. I do want to paint at least one wall black. I am thinking the back wall of the vanity.
See how pretty this is painted black.
I like this black background with the natural wood cabinet. Natural wood is the new trend – at least that is what the “experts” say.
Here’s another one. I think maybe this works because it has a lot of white too.
If you follow me you have seen our bathroom a dozen times. Nothing bad and nothing wow either. The walls are currently painted a soft camel beige color.
The door you see on the left in the above picture opens to my fun closet that I madeover last year. I have wanted to give the bathroom some glamour ever since, but havn’t figured out what.
I am not sure I want to paint or restain the vanity, so I am toying with the idea of a facelift with some paint on the walls and accessories. Painting the wall the vanity is on black and framing the mirror. Then add a new rug in black – maybe oriental.
I would paint the other walls white. ( I would love to have a pattern on the walls, but they are so heavily textured that I found out first hand on the hall bathroom redo that a stencil does not work.)
Make a black and white valance for the window, lower the towel bar and update the accessories and maybe the lights. I already have the fabric and white paint, so this could be done for nearly nothing.
Do you think I can pull this off and not change the vanity? Give me your thoughts and tell me WHAT COLOR BLACK YOU USE.
