Getting together with friends is always so fun and making lifelong friends with fellow bloggers you met online is totally awesome. You know the saying “Make new friends, but keep the old – some are silver and some are gold” Well blogging friends are definitely Gold.
I first met a group of Arizona Bloggers at a fun lunch in October 2009. There was a large group and so much fun to meet everyone. Such a great group of ladies.
Out of all that group there were a few of us that became good friends and have continued that friendship today. Some are still blogging and others aren’t but we all love getting together. From left to right – Liz (Rose Vignettes) , Linda, Laura’s daughter aka The Fashionista, Laura (Decor To Adore), Cindy, Ceekay. Missing in this photo is Jamie. (She’s the beautiful lady on the right in the brown dress in the above photo)
Life changes, but friendships don’t. Ceekay passed away this past year from a long battle with cancer. Cindy lives in Wisconsin and only comes to Phoenix to visit her son once a year. Laura and her family moved to Ft. Worth last year. Even though we are now miles apart, the friendship continues.
Cindy came into town to visit her son and his family, so Monday we all got together for a brunch. So much fun – -From left Jamie – Liz (Rose Vignettes) – Linda – Cindy and her grandaughter Addison.
I borrowed this pic from Cindy’s FB page. (I forgot to take my sunglasses off)
Even though some no longer blog, we stay in touch with facebook. Two fun filled hours of laughing and talking as fast as we could. I love these ladies, they are so much fun.
