Brass Desk Accessories

I love having something pretty on my desk that is stylish and chic, so when I was out shopping with a friend, I came across this brass and wood magazine basket at Hobby Lobby. I think it will suit my needs better to hold some of my notepads and journals that I use on my desk.

I love the unique style of this piece, it really is different.

Now I don’t have a real desk or an office, I choose to use the buffet in the breakfast area since it is part of the family room and kitchen area too. That way I am always in the middle of the action. Since I don’t have all day to sit at a computer, this works perfectly for me to jump on when I can and still keep track of the family and all that is going on. I love being able to look out the window and right now I usually get a huge treat watching the birds coming up to drink nectar from the tiny flowers on the bush right outside the window.

I love the basket, what a find for $29.99 plus I used a 40% off coupon. I think that’s a bargain. (Isn’t my orchid gorgeous. It is doing so good, I hope I can keep it alive. This was my Easter Gift from my daughter.)
