The new floors are in and this room is finally put back together.
If you have followed along then you know I took forever to make a decision on the new floors. It was time to bite the bullet and make a choice, my poor carpets were more than DONE.
THE NEW FLOORS ARE GORGEOUS.

I think I made the right choice, these look amazing and they feel so good underfoot. My contractor said this was one of the easiest floors he had ever installed. Everything fit so well together – just click and done.
They were able to do the entire installation in just 2 days from start to finish in both rooms, including removing tile and new baseboards. I love the handscraped texture and the beautiful wood grain.
Such a difference from the old carpet. I loved the light color of the carpet, but not how dirty it always was.
The floors are wonderful and they feel so cool underfoot too. Of course I had to have a cowhide rug. I absolutely love this one.
The light cream color with the touch of tan and gray, plus that one little camel spot made this rug perfect for my room. Best of all it gives the room character and still shows off the pretty floors.
This is a totally new look for me, but I am really liking it.
Everything stayed the same as it was before the new floors. I just put it all back the way it was, well except for a couple of accessory changes. The chest in the front window got a new treasure.
I added this fabulous box I found to the vignette. Love the beige ostrich and the white trim.
I also added my “thinker” to the end table by the sofa and removed the yellow tulips.
That’s it, everything else stayed the same, except I changed the angle of the cowhide rug.
Much better.
I am still looking for a rug for the dining area, but love the cowhide.
So, what do you think? There’s a huge difference with the new floors don’t you think? Be sure to check back next week, I can’t wait to show you the family room.
