Now that the new floors are down and the room is put back together, time for the fun decor stuff. I looked at about a gazillion rugs trying to figure out what I wanted and decided that simple was best. I love the casual look of a jute rug. They look great in just about any room, but there are a few things to consider. They come in several different colors, so what is best for my room?
I decided on natural. Not too dark and not too light.
It coordinates beautifully with my furniture, tile and the new floors.
I chose this one since it was a flatter weave and had multiple colors that will be practical to live with and give the rug some character. I found it at RugsUSA – 9 x 12 for $332.80 including pad. (I have not been compensated, just passing along the info. RugsUSA did not give me the rug or any other incentives.)
Great look from the kitchen island.
It has the same yellows, browns and grays that my furniture and accessories have. I didn’t reinvent the wheel, I just put the room back the way it was.
