You know how it is when you move into a new place, you try to figure out what works and what doesn’t. Well cabinet space it at a premium in The Builder Basic, so I needed to find some place for my dish hoard.
There’s this wonderful little space hidden within the stairs. Most people see this and think coat closet.
Not me, I took one look at this and said this is my new dish closet. Hubby had several of those metal shelves in the garage that he was working on, so I had him give me one big one and cut another one down to 3 ft. tall and now I have the most fabulous Dish Room.
Isn’t this fabulous. Now obviously I will rearrange it better at a later date, but so nice to have my things out of a box. The plastic storage bin holds all of my napkins, napkin rings and a few candles.
I can hang throws on the rod and put trays on the top shelf. On the right hand wall I plan to hang some towel bars and hang my table runners over them. I love this little space. It is definitely a wonderful treasure.
Who needs a coat closet – This is so much more functional don’t you think?
