2016 In Review

2016 turned out to be one of the busiest and the year with the most changes.  Wow, you never know what all can happen in one year until you look back and see all the changes.

2016 Goals & Getting Real With A Budget

I tried to lay out my plans for the year and create a budget so I could accomplish everything on my wish list.  Mostly it worked out pretty good.  I am still using this budget with only a few minor changes.

Backyard Progress – The Pool Is FinishedWow, this was a big month.  The pool and  the back yard were finished.  This project went viral and was written up in several magazines.  This was our favorite place to be during the hot summer.  What a fun addition to the yard.

New Home Search

We started thinking about moving closer to family, so a new home search started.  The area we wanted had skyrocketed in price and the homes were 20+ yrs. old.  Some needed tons of updates and some were not my style at all.  I shared a few that the area had for sale.

The House Hunt Sage – We Made An Offer

We found “The Builder Basic” and made an offer.  We loved the area and the price was right so we could afford to do all the upgrades needed.  We put our house on the market and it sold in 6 days, so moving was a definite GO.

Merry Christmas From Our New House

We moved in the week before Christmas.  We managed to arrange one room and put up a small tree in time for Christmas.  Truly a Blessing to be closer and to enjoy the holidays with our family.

I never imagined last January that so many changes would take place.  We are thrilled to be moved and starting a new adventure closer to family and in our wonderful “Builder Basic.”

Was your year full of adventures and changes too?
