One of the spaces that needs a big makeover is the master bathroom. We have a one sink vanity and linoleum floors. The vanity is in pretty bad shape and the storage is very poor. This house was a rental for the last 5 years, and while there was no major damage, the bathrooms definitely show the wear and tear of renters. The space is a long narrow area.
The entrance to the bedroom is just out of view on the right. You walk in and the bathroom doorway is next to the sliding door closet.
This space measures 5’4″ wide – kind of like an galley kitchen with everything on one wall.
The tub is on the left as you enter.
As you can see, the vanity with one sink is ok, but we really would love to have two sinks. This space is definitely builder basic. Standard oak cabinets, big mirror and hollywood lights. Functional but not very pretty or exciting.
Looking back at the tub area. I need to dress this area up and replace that window blind for sure.
From the tub looking into the shower and toilet area. This space is too small to get a picture of. I do enjoy the large shower, it is really nice, just plain.
This is totally functional, just not very pretty. I have a lot of things I want done first, so this will be on the back burner for a while. As soon as I get the rest of the boxes unpacked, I will find some accessories to dress it up a bit and it will be fine until we can do a complete makeover.
I think for the time being a little paint and a few accessories, new shutters on the window and a nice area rug will dress it up and make-do.
From the bathroom door, this is the view of the bedroom. This bedroom is a great size and I am loving it.
I have always loved a big bathroom, however I am finding that this one functions very well. I just have to get use to it. It is still bigger than a couple I have had in the past. haha
