The kitchen is well underway. So far I am loving what I see. It’s always tricky when you are on a budget and redoing some original cabinets and adding new ones. Trying to re-configure a few, add a few new ones and make it all look cohesive is real challenge.
Remember, this is what it looked like in the listing picture.
Then when we moved in the week before Christmas.
When my contractor called the first of January and said he had some free time, I jumped right into getting things ready for the remodel. New cabinets were ordered – – –
Some old cabinets taken out and a few rearranged, then new cabinets installed..
This was my inspiration picture of the detail I was looking for in the upper cabinets.
For the counters, this was the granite I chose.
Then the painter gave me a sample of the color of paint and I chose the gold hardware.
Now it all began – – – The painters arrived and started taping off the room – – –
Everything was moved into my living/dining room. Any remodel always strays into every room of the house it seems.
The crown molding was going up – —
Crown molding done-nail holes filled and then lots of sanding.
This is really looking good.
Primer and paint and wow, what a difference so far —
Stay Tuned for Part 2. I can’t wait to see this all done.
