Over the years I have made over quite a few furniture pieces. Some of them have definitely stood the test of time and are still favorites. I thought I would share these classic winners with you.
These two chairs that I madeover have been pinned thousands of times and they are two of my favorites too.
When I found my fabulous Cowhide Louis chairs at Goodwill this is what they looked like. Great bones and for $9.99 each, how could you pass them up?
I share a step by step tutorial showing how I transformed them into these fun chairs.
My rush seat ladder back chairs I’ve had for years. Finally the seats broke on the two captains chairs. Since replacing the rush was beyond my technical ability and having someone redo them was waaaaayyyy too expensive, plus I would have to wait for months to have them done. I needed to find an alternative that didn’t damage the chair (in case I wanted to have the rush seats done later) but would look amazing and be comfortable. This step by step tutorial is super easy.
Master Bedroom Headboard Makeover. When I was redoing our Master Bedroom I really wanted a statement headboard, however the prices were way out of my budget.
I started shopping all the thrift stores and then went into Hotel Liquidators and found exactly what I wanted.
I had never redone a padded headboard, but the price was so reasonable that I thought it was worth a try. You can see my step by step tutorial here.
Our Guest Bedroom Headboard makeover was a fun project too. I again wanted a statement piece, but I knew first hand to check out Hotel Liquidators.
I found the perfect Queen Headboard to makeover for only $29.50. You can see the step by step tutorial for staining the frame here and upholstering the insert here.
Over the years I’ve painted and stained a lot of furniture, but these continue to be my favorites.
