This summer has been a really busy and fun one filled with tons of Summer Celebrations We have done some Traveling, celebrated a College Graduaton, a Wedding, lots of DIY Projects and Room Makeovers, plus all around fun. We have jam-packed as much as we could into this summer.
I am thrilled to be joining a great group of ladies that are sharing their special summer celebrations with you. If you came over from Follow The Yellow Brick Home I am sure you enjoyed Amber’s Summer Celebration as much as I have. At the end of the post you will find a complete list and links to all the participants.
NOW ON TO THE SUMMER CELEBRATIONS.
June was such a fun month – We went to Salt Lake City to see Jordan graduate with his Masters Degree in Architecture. This was such a fun trip to celebrate his success and accomplishments. We are so super proud of him.
June was a busy month on the blog for DIY Projects too –
2019 Summer Home Tour – June 10th thru 14 – 30 homes over 5 days. There was so much to see, so be sure to check them all out. You can begin with my tour here.
I had fun switching out our living room for summer to casual coastal blue and white decor.
June was also when I finished a long overdue DIY Project. Our Master Bathroom Makeover Reveal – this room has been done in stages for 2 years, but we are finally calling it done for now. Be sure to check out all the different projects and tutorials in this makeover.
JULY SUMMER CELEBRATIONS
July started off with a bang. We hadn’t done anything to our upstairs guest bathroom since we moved in. I just added a shower curtain, a few accessories and called it good. This bathroom is the first door next to our master bedroom and hubby likes to use it as his bathroom. (having your own bathroom is such a luxury, so we both love having our own.) Time to do a semi gut job and makeover. Budget Hall Bathroom Makeover Reveal. We replaced the vanity, toilet, mirror, medicine cabinet and light. New decorations and we were done. Be sure to check out the step by step to see the whole project from demo to decor.
July 15 was another wonderful trip to Salt Lake City to see Jordan marry his special lady (Miss Idaho 2017). This was such a fun trip and family reunion. All of our family was able to attend, so this was really a super special trip. CONGRATULATIONS TO JORDAN AND CASSIE.
July was also a great month to Bring An Old Wicker Chair Back To Life.
and – How A Yard Sale Find Really Transformed A Room. This room has been through several room arrangements and I think we have finally found one that works and looks cohesive.
Add to all this a lot of fun pool time and get- togethers with family and friends and this has been a wonderful summer.
I am so glad we still have more fun to come with August and a BIG MILESTONE Birthday for me.

Well Happy Birthday to you, Marty. How fun. I had a milestone in May. It does sound like you have had a wonderful summer. You grand daughter in law made a gorgeous bride. What a beautiful venue too. I love the pops of blue in your home. It cools off that Arizona sun a little. Your pool and deck are gorgeous. You have made amazing progress in the two years you have been in your home.
What a fabulous summer you have had full of memories! I am adoring both of the bath makeovers!!! Lovely ideas.

I love that you make so much time to spend with your family no matter if it’s hosting them for a fun pool day or traveling to celebrate milestones like graduations and weddings. I hope your birthday is a happy one. You deserve to be celebrated! Hugs, CoCo

Goodness, your summer has made me tired! But it sounds magnificent. What a beautiful place to have a wedding. I love the mens styles these days – colorful suits instead of tuxedo’s like back when I got married. Great idea for a hop!
What a great post Marty! I enjoyed seeing all of your summer highlights in review. The wedding looked beautiful, how nice to spend time with family and friends. Now I hope you enjoy more summer days relaxing around your gorgeous pool, and I wish you an early Happy Birthday too!
