I love to fluff my home and change things up all the time. I have a gazillion different pillow covers – a lot of table top decor & bunches of candles. However, My #1 Must Have Accessory – Plants Faux or Real. I think every room needs plants of some kind. Now they can be faux greenery like this pretty realistic looking ivy, or real. They might be flowers – faux or real, I just think every room needs something that looks like it is living.
My real corn plant in the corner of the living room grabs your attention in this room. It is lush, alive and such an interesting silhouette. Can you imagine how dull this corner would be without it?
My faux flowering branches in the vase on the coffee table adds more interest to the room. They look so real too. Together they add warmth, texture and interest.
A faux flower arrangement is the focal point of this tablescape. Yes there are pretty dishes and linens, but the flowers bring the whole table together.
Here’s another tablesetting with a totally different feel. Faux wheat, feathers and grass create a Fall table that is unique. It really is the center of attention on this table.
How about a grouping of plants with soft colors and tons of texture. I also love to mix all the containers too. Here we have wood, marble and glass and they all look gorgeous together.
Even adding a tiny faux succulent arrangement adds life & interest to this vignette.
These two small faux greenery plants make a huge impact on these bathroom shelves. Again I think they are such an important part of the overall look of this area. Without them it would look rather dull, not alive.
This bathroom vanity has a pretty vignette with a few pretty perfumes, a candle and some shiny gold, but without the faux orchid it wouldn’t be nearly as interesting.
I can keep some plants alive in the house, but they make so many realistic looking faux plants that I tend to go in that direction. Easy care and so many different plants to choose from. If you haven’t taken a look at today’s faux’s, do so. I think you will be surprised, then pick a few that you like and sprinkle them around your rooms to add tons of interest, character and life. I think you will love how they wake up a room.
Where is a good source for faux plants. Not finding what I want locally. Funny you would post this today. Just last week I was wondering about the large tree in your living area. It’s beautiful and gets some really good light. I need faux because I have a rather dark room. Thanks for sharing. Your home is stunning.
I find some really great ones at Hobby Lobby and also Michaels. Check out Ross and TJMaxx too, they have some small ones that are fabulous and at great prices.
I defiantly am going to follow your advice. I never would have guessed those faux plants and flowers. Since our new kitty Drusilla, insists on tasting every plant and flower I bring in the house. I had given up on the thought. Yours look so real.

you have such a beautfiul variety of real and faux plants. they are subtle and enhance the lovely settings. But oh my, that glossy black vanity is a showstopper. just gorgeous!!!
I love faux and real too Marty. I am more faux flowers but I do have a couple of live ivy plants in my kitchen. I love the way you styled the shelves in the bathroom. Gorgeous. Your table setting is so pretty too.
