Don’t you sometimes wonder why some projects take forever and are the easiest and least expensive to do? Ever since we moved in here 2 1/2 years ago I have been meaning to get a full-length mirror for my closet door. I had one in the last house and used it every single day. I left it for the buyer so I needed a new one for my closet in the new house. It was definitely time for the Master Closet Finishing Touches.
We have the luxury of 2 closets in the master bedroom in this house. There is a 6 ft. sliding door closet with double rods on one side and single rod and shelves on the other side just as you walk in the room. Hubby uses this as his closet. There is also a nice walk in closet with lots of shelves and double rods on the other side of the room. That is the closet I use.
When I would see mirrors in the store I would stop and take a look, I was amazed at how many were really wavy. They either made you look really tall and skinny (wish that was true) or really short and fat (not my best look). Then I would forget about it until I wanted to get dressed up. Day to day I really didn’t need a full view of jeans and tees, so most of the time I forgot about it. Not any more. I finally found one that is lightweight and isn’t wavy. We have hollow core doors, so I needed something that wasn’t really heavy and I don’t really like those that hang over the door. This is a really inexpensive one with a small white frame and just blends into the door really well. Perfect for what I need.
All the shelving and drawers in the closet are white, so it ties in like it was made for this space.
I also have a mirror in my primping area so I can check out my jewelry.
Master Closet Finishing Touches crossed off the to-do list. Little by little I am getting to some of the finishing details that seem to take forever.
Always love seeing your closet. So neat and feminine at the same time. Love your style.
Aren’t you just the cutest Marty!! I love me a nice organized master bedroom closet. Thanks for sharing your end results with us.
Happy day!!

Muy lindo closeth y el espejo se necesita demasiado en ese espacio…Me agrada como lo colocaron detrás de la puerta.
I have always loved your “primping area” as you call it. I made myself one very similar in my walk-in closet. Thanks for the idea.
LOVE your closet, so pretty and functional. I can’t get dressed without a mirror!!
Love this idea as well. We are building a home and this will be on my to do list as well! Love how yours look!
Hi Marty, You know you are so right it is the most simple things that we put off and I have many of those projects to finish. Maybe your beautiful closet will inspire me to do some of them. Great job!
