Christmas In The Kitchen

My favorite room in the house – my kitchen.  I cook a lot and we entertain a lot, so decorating this area is something I love to do.  Switching all the decor out for Christmas is especially fun.  Welcome to my Christmas in the kitchen.

This year our kitchen and great room are decorated with a Children’s Wonder of Christmas theme.  Lots of toys, candy, cakes and hot cocoa.  A simple old fashioned Christmas that I love.

My favorite old santa that we’ve had for years stands proud on the pennisula.  He’s our first Santa from years and years ago.  He is joined by a brass lantern and candy cafe.

The island is topped with a special “goodies” tray.

The counters are kept pretty simple so there’s plenty of room for cooking.  Our kitchen is small, but it functions really well for us.  Having the huge walk-in pantry and large dish room makes all the difference.

A fun Cocoa Bar on this side of the range.  I will share all the details of that later at the “Hot Chocolate Bar” Pinterest challenge 11/26.

The island has my favorite little drunk chef showing off all of his latest treats.  He always enjoys a little too much champagne when he’s cooking, but I love him and his goofy grin.  A tiny frosted tree filled with lots of peppermint candy looks so tasty too.

That’s it for my Old Fashioned Christmas In The Kitchen.  I hope it brings back memories of years gone by to you too.

Guest Bedroom Christmas here.  Proving small and thrifted can still be comfortable and chic.

It doesn’t take much to make it look like Christmas and so much more fun to be in.

I love your santa! I have a similar one, but it is cream and gold, and we use it as a tree topper. Thanks for sharing your recipe with us at the Creative Muster. Looking forward to seeing what you’ll be sharing next week. Pinned!
