Welcome to the 2019 Christmas Home Tours. I am thrilled to be starting off a week full of beautiful homes sharing their Christmas Decor. 30 homes over 5 days to inspire you.
I always love these tours since we have such a diverse group of ladies, there is something for everyone and every style is represented from Modern to Boho to Farmhouse to Traditional to Transitional. We have it all. Today we have 6 homes for you to see. (You can see the entire lineup at the end of this post)
I’m sharing my living and dining area with you today, so grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy. Welcome to my Home.
Let’s start at the front door. Our home has a pretty open floorplan so you see most of downstairs and the loft upstairs the minute you walk in. The living room is tucked around the corner on the right. The family room, kitchen and breakfast area are right through the opening to the back of the house. Since we don’t have a true designated entry, I use the long wall on the left as our welcoming spot when you first come in.
Our console table has served us well for many years. It is a sentimental favorite piece that I always enjoy decorating.
My little Carolers are a fun find several years ago from Goodwill. Their beautiful brocade robes and fur are so pretty.
A sparkly throw and glitzy pillow add some Christmas to this antique chair. This is a favorite place to dump my purse and packages when I come in.
I love being able to pull the ottoman out for extra seating when we entertain larger crowds. (One of my most pinned DIY projects.)
Looking back towards the front door. The living room area is directly on your left across from this console.
I always like to hang a wreath or something on the inside of the door. Just a nice way to add Christmas to a blank spot. This year I hung my basket filled with some sprigs of nature and a little glitz. It kind of goes with the simple color scheme I have going on in the living room.
The tree is always the star of the show. We chose a 9 ft. tree when we moved in since we have such tall ceilings. This is our third Christmas in this house and we love decorating for the Holidays.
We love an eclectic tree decorated with tons of pretty ornaments, ribbon, picks, and whimsy. (The peacock is definitely whimsical)
I kept everything silver and gold except for a few burnt orange ornaments.
I kept the colors just mainly cream except for this one pillow. I couldn’t resist this pretty burnt orange color and sweet verse. “Pumpkin, Spice and Everyting Nice”.
The mirror captures a pretty reflection of the tree.
The coffee table is pretty simple too, just Santa, a Feather Tree and his trusty Reindeer.
A couple of Santa’s reindeer on the end table. Love them dressed in sweaters and fun fur collars.
The dining area is nestled next to the stairs. I love the garland lights and the natural light from these fabulous 9 ft. windows.
The centerpiece is my beloved Nativity scene. These are lovely heirloom pieces that I love to display under a cloche.
Mary, Joseph, and baby Jesus are being watched over by an Angel, Shepherd, Cow, and Reindeer. A simple setting to remind us of the reason for the season.
I always love the sparkle of the tree in the background.
That brings us to the end of this area of my home. Check back later this week for a roundup of my Whole House Christmas Tours.
