2019 Christmas Patio & Pool

Welcome to our 2019 Christmas Patio & Pool.  Christmas on the patio and around the pool is just about the most perfect way to spend the Holidays. I love adding Christmas lights to make the whole area glow.  Living in the desert is really warm in the summer, but this time of year we have the most perfect weather.

Let’s start with the day time view of our patio.   We spend a lot of time out here.  Right now we are having temps in the 70’s so it couldn’t be more perfect.   I didn’t change up the decor too much from last year,  just a few things pulled from my stash to make it feel like Christmas.

The drapes and the roll down shade make it feel like an outdoor room.  The drapes block out a few of hubby’s growing tables that I don’t want to see. haha (He’s a master gardener and always experimenting with plants)  The roll down shade filters the bright sun in the afternoon but doesn’t block the view of the rest of the backyard.   If we do have a chill at night we can light the lava firepit and we are toasty warm.

My really old Rag Santa is taking a rest outside too.  He loves this weather.

It’s always fun to pull things from my stash to decorate for the seasons.  The Merry Christmas Pillow, plaid throw, lantern and a few shiny brights made it look like Christmas.

Some colored lights on the plants and a cute little Christmas tree with battery lights make it festive at night.

The pool was my main “wish” when we bought this house. We remodeled the kitchen first, then the pool was a top priority.  It was finished in time for our first summer.  I love it and spend all summer just cooling off and relaxing in it.  My favorite place to be.   This is our third Christmas and the plants are really starting to fill in the backyard nicely.

A few lights around the pool and it becomes a nighttime fairyland.

The pool light changes colors, so there is always something different to see.

Love this aqua color too, this is what the pool water looks like during the day.

Our 2019 Christmas Patio & Pool is such a change from all the years I lived with snow.  I love being able to enjoy the season outside with such pretty surroundings and fabulous weather.   An hour and half drive to spend a day in the snow is all I need and then back to our own little slice of paradise.

Packing my bags to sit out there on your patio.

    Be there Jan 2.

    Haha – I WISH!

Being an Ohio girl all my life how I would looooove to retire to somewhere warm and dry for the winter.

Not gonna happen, but a girl can dream, right? I know my aching joints would sure love it.

Went to AZ in April for first time and it was all I could do to stop myself from looking at real estate.

    Your patio looks amazing, Marty!!!

Hope you are enjoying all the magic and wonder of this special season.

    Hugs.

Oh I would love to have you sit here with me and enjoy the weather and just visit for hours. I am so sorry I missed you in April. Next time you come out, give me a shout, we will definitely get together.

That is so true, seems like we live in two different worlds for sure. I love to look at your wonderful snow, however I lived with it for 18 years, so I am happy to have our winter temperatures now. Not so much the summer, but the pool takes care of that. I just hop in and out of the pool all day. I hope you have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas.
