There are always so many people to see and visit during the holidays. Since we have some grown children, we also have to consider all the in-laws on each side too. Most of us are able to get together for Christmas Eve at my daughter’s house. Tons of fun, laughter, dinner and gift exchange (we draw names since there are so many of us). Then the family members that weren’t able to be with all of us on Christmas Eve come to my home on Christmas night. Those that were all together on Christmas eve at my daughter’s come too if they can. This means we get to see everyone either Christmas eve or Christmas night.
This year we have family coming from out of town, so I will be hosting a Buffet on Christmas night. Drinks, snacks, meat & cheese trays, sandwiches, and desserts.
I had a pretty table set for Christmas dinner – – – –
I love using my Nativity as the centerpiece on my table at Christmas. I kept it – but
Since we are having a buffet and most people will just walk around with their food, or sit on sofas and chairs, I cleared the place settings off the table and just left the centerpiece. We will use this table to place a lot of the appetizers on, so I needed to have room for all the dishes. I wanted to add some extra sparkle, so I added a crystal garland and fairy lights.
I love this garland, it adds so much drama to the Nativity and elegance to the table.
It’s really so pretty in person, tons of pretty crystal beads on a thin wire.
I plan on using mostly crystal and gold dishes, so it should make for a really pretty display.
I think I am all set for the big day – how about you?
Merry Christmas, dear Marty! Oh, your centerpiece is absolutely lovely! I love your Nativity under glass and that is really a pretty beaded garland! I’m sure your family will ooh and aww over your pretty table! Thank you for your blog friendship all of these years and have a wonderful Christmas!
You’re always a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
It looks quite festive for your Christmas party.
I love that garland!
Love your centerpiece Marty. Your menu sounds nice and will allow you time to celebrate too. Enjoy being with your family. Merry Christmas sweet friend.
Hugs
