I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas. Ours was picture perfect. Almost all of our loved ones were here, so nothing could be more perfect. We have family staying with us all week and even more family staying with my daughter, so we have truly been blessed this Christmas.
Today I am going to keep my grandson for a while as others do a little sightseeing, so I am spending tons of time in my favorite room, my girl/cave/office. I’ve gotten a jump start on packing away some of the Christmas by cleaning up this space. We had an air mattress in here for extra family to spend Christmas Eve night, but time to take that down and turn this place back into a room.
I love this space and spend quite a bit of time in here. You can see just a glimpse in the mirror of the entertainment center that takes up the wall across from the settee and holds a tv, office supplies and great speakers for my music. I can sit here and watch all my favorite programs and not bother anyone else.
As I packed away some of the Christmas, of course I made a few changes. I switched out the pillows and throw for some rusty colored plaids.
I love my office space, it is perfect for me on a day to day basis. This gate-leg table makes a fabulous desk. My Christmas carolers and Santa are packed away and everything put back to normal. I love sitting here and catching up with all of you and seeing what you’ve been up to.
All of your Christmas decor has been so inspiring. Now I am going to enjoy all the pictures of your Holiday Festivities.
This room has been thoroughly cleaned and organized. It feels good to put one room back together. I decided to keep the decor to a minimum with just a couple of pretty pillows. I am definitely thinking less is more.
How about you, are you ready to minimize after the Christmas overload?
Hi Marty,
Glad to hear your Christmas with family was nice. It is a lot and so much fun but it is nice to get back to normal again.
Have a good rest of this week.
Hugs,
Kris
Love the tidy look of post Christmas cleanup, Marty. I went to my storage unit to take things back which my daughter borrowed for hosting, and picked up a couple tubs to undecorate in our loft. I’ll save the tree for last, but like you, I want the surrounding area to feel put back together. We’re having weather that’s more like what you’d expect in AZ in winter (high near 70° today!). Have a great day.
I love when everything is cleaned and put away, but I wait until after New Years. Cheers!
