Winter Family Room Update

This is one of my favorite rooms, not because it is a grand size, but because it has some of my favorite furniture pieces in it.  I would LOVE it if this were a bigger space, we hang out in here all the time.  The back of the house is family room & the kitchen and breakfast area all as one open space together, so naturally, this is where everyone congregates.  Now we go from just hubby and me to 8 to 10 people on any given day, so this can really become crowded in a hurry.  That’s ok with me if everyone is hanging out in here, around the bar on counter stools, or in the kitchen or around the breakfast table, just so long as they’re having a good time and enjoying all being together then I am a happy camper. Welcome to my Winter Family Room Update.

 

This view is taken next to the kitchen peninsula.  I love my horse painting and find that I don’t change up the accessories too often in here.  This arrangement just seems to work and I love all the earthy colors, so things tend to stay the same most of the time.

I do think I will upgrade the collage around the TV though.  It’s a bit small and I think I can do better.  So stay tuned for a change there.

 

I guess I still really believe that if it ain’t broke – don’t fix it.  This space pleases me, so it will probably stay just about the same most of the time.  How about you, do you have a space that seems to stay the same too?
