What about the gray console table that I previously had in the family room? With all this furniture shuffling, when the library table went to the family room, I moved the gray console table I had in the family room to the entrance. Musical Furniture – My Entrance Changed Again.
You can see how this area looked before here, & here. It’s always amazing to see how a “new home” evolves as you finally arrange things so they make the most of each room and space. Sometimes “Musical Furniture ” is what a space needs. I have had all kinds of different pictures, paintings and mirrors over the library table I usually have in this space. I think this console chest is the best look I’ve had so far, this looks fresh, up to date and current. Bonsu is I really, really like it.
This smaller chest looks good here. I love the color of the console with the painting since it is shades of cream, camel, gold and gray. This is the painting that I did a DIY Makeover to. You can see that post here.
I added just a few fun accessories. I always like a little greenery, so this trailing ivy was perfect. I paired it with a marble book and a fun magnifying glass. My concrete thinking man is next to the lamp.
Since this cabinet is smaller than the library table that I had here, I added my favorite dog to add more interest and character to the space.
I hadn’t thought about this console here before, but it works perfectly in this spot.
Then I made another switch. (More Musical Furniture – My Entrance Changed Again) When I rearranged the family room again, I eliminated one chair, so where to put that piece? I love it so I decided it should go in the entrance and replace the ladderback chair.
The gray in this chair is so perfect with the console and I adore the cane back. This is a keeper, the chair stays. (The ladderback chair went to the Guest Bdrm, it is perfect there, so win-win all around.)
Swapping out a library table for a console can create a totally different look in your rooms. How about you, do you change things up all the time and play musical furniture?
Love the change! Swapping out the console and chair really brings a contemporary feel to the space and looks great with the art.
Thanks for all work that goes into running a blog.
Thank you, I really love this change too. It totally seems to update the entrance and the living room. That’s a double good thing. Marty
Your entrance Marty looks really nice. I like the chair in there with the console. Very pretty.
Happy Sunday.
Love this the best! What a difference it makes!
Hi Marty,
I love your updated entry vignette! Everything looks fresh, and all the colors relate. Also, that cane chair is a better scale for the pretty cabinet, don’t you agree?
I always enjoy your posts; many thanks for all your efforts to keep us entertained!
Thanks so much, I am thrilled with how this all worked out. I should have had these pieces here since day one. Marty
Beautiful entry. The dog statue makes the space even more welcoming and unique. The mirrors in the cabinet add light and visual motion to the area. So perfect. Yes a win win!
Marty,
Love the musical furniture shuffle for your Entry Hall redesign!

I love it too. Looks very upscale.
Marty, if this keeps up, you will have to put rollers on the furniture ! LOL Maybe one week you can video the process.
What a fun idea. I need to figure out how to do more videos. Thanks, Marty
I love it, it looks awesome! I also do musical furniture all the time. It is so much fun and much less expensive than buying new;)
Thanks so much. I agree, this is much cheaper than buying new all the time and it is way more fun too. Marty
HI Marty! Oh, I do love how your entry looks. The console is just beautiful! I know you’re enjoying your lovely new home. Hope all is well with you.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉
Best look yet!
Love how you moved it around! What a fun space now! That console is so pretty!
Happy day friend!

Thanks, playing musical furniture is so fun. Marty
I really like the changes and the composition is spot on! I did go back and review your DIY art project and again like the changes you made to the painting. I have been doing my own paintings but altering one to suit your needs is a great idea.
Thanks so much. I don’t have the talent to paint something, but altering one is my speed. Marty
Thanks so much for featuring my bedroom! I was so happy with my third time decorating it!
Happy day friend!
