You all know that one of my favorite things is lunch with the girls and then shopping. Nothing is much more fun than laughing and talking with friends, then if you add in some fun thrift shopping into the mix, I am all in. One of my very favorite places to thrift shop is Furniture Affair. That is a store that sells model home furniture. If you are in the Phoenix area it is located at 7th St. and Bell Rd. They have some amazing furniture and accessories.
The minute you walk in the door you are in awe. I didn’t get all the prices but just think quality at half price. This sofa was $599. Accessories and pillows are a steal for sure. Most pillows around $15 and accessories around $20 or less. Lamps about $40 or less.
You have to meander around little spaces between vignettes, no aisles and there is so much to see you need to take your time. I won’t talk, just walk through the store like I did.
I do remember the price on this $4000 leather chair. It was $899.
Look closely, see that brass bed. There are hidden gems all over the place if you don’t stop and take a good look at each area.
I’ve purchased tons of accessories from this place and a few pillows too. A couple of my favorite furniture pieces are my two Louis Chairs. While out shopping one day with my daughter, she bought me this fabulous gray Louis Chair. $99
She also bought this fabulous leather Louis Chair for $109 for herself then later gave it to me. (I bought those floating candle holders on the coffee table for about $40 for the pair) I have tons of their accessories all over the house and give tons more as gifts.
Look around your area and see if you have a similar store. The quality and price are unreal, and everything is in pristine condition.
So did you see anything you would like?
Wow!!!! This place is beautiful!! I wish it was closer to Florida lol I wonder if they deliver:)
I’ve just moved and am redecorating! I’ll be sharing it all on my blog!!!
I must find a store like this! Thanks for sharing.
Oh wowsie what a great place to shop. Thanks for taking us along. I saw a few things I would love. Happy New Week Marty.
No store like this in my area! My kind of store to get lost in! Upstate New York has retail furniture stores but nothing like this. When I lived in downstate New York , there were plenty of consignment stores and high end estate sales. I miss them but with COVID I am content letting my fingers do the “looking”. I hope you treated yourself to something. You deserve it.
It is a fun place to wander. I purchased my headboard there for about $100 and a bed skirt.
Hi Marty,
Thanks to one of your earlier posts recommending this store, I actually visited it during a trip to Phoenix several years ago. I loved it – came home with a lamp and a mirror. 🙂 This store is now on my regular rotation list on my trips to Phoenix. I often am tempted to rent a U-haul home with each visit, lol.
Many thanks for your ongoing, down-to-earth posts, esoecially in light of the tragedy you experienced. Your strength and fortitude are much to be admired.
It’s kinda funny, Marty. You call that thrifting. I call it secondhand shopping, or consignment shopping – thrifting to me is truly thrifting – Good Will, Salvation Army, etc. The store you just shared – WOW – why would anyone want to pay full price??? What a store! I would love to shop there! I would just kick myself falling in love with pieces I couldn’t even consider having shipped back to me in Ohio.
You are right about looking extra closely at all the hidden gems. Glad you had a nice day and found some nice things.
Oh Marty, this was a feast for the eyes! How I envy you getting together with friends for lunch and shopping. It must give you a lot of freedom knowing you can’t catch Covid again, but unfortunately, I must be very careful being at high risk because of age and protecting my husband, also at high risk with medical issues. You deserve having a lovely day out and I wish you many many more!
I loved the white credenza with four doors. I wish we had a store like that. Our GW never has decent furniture and everything is overpriced. Glad you went out and had fun.
Oh my, oh my, Marty. What a wonderful and joyous day it would be to go to this beautiful and very well put together shop. Raleigh just has nothing to compare. Does your shop even call itself a thrift shop, I would say high end- thrifting. Please share the name with me as my son and dil moved to Phoenix last December and they need lots of things for their newly purchased home. Somehow thrifting takes the edge off things, an enjoyable hobby and I love it. My house is constantly changing and that is okay.
