Feb Pinterest Challenge – Console Styling

February Pinterest Challenge – Console Styling hosted by Cindy @ Country Road 407.  Each month we have a different theme and inspiration picture to inspire us.  Our challenge is to create our version of the theme.

For February the theme is a Spring Decorated Console or Sofa Table.  Our challenge today comes from Amanda at Sincerely Marie Designs.   I love the pretty spring bouquet and love birds that Amanda used on her sofa table.  Beautiful vignette.

If you are coming over from Postcard From The Ridge,  I am sure you loved Angie’s table as much as I do.

Welccome, today I will be using the console table on our entrance wall.  Since you walk right into our living/dining area when you enter our home, I added a console table, painting, and chair to create the feel of an entrance space.

If you look at the inspiration picture to see how she styled her sofa table, you will notice she used a basket to hold a large spring bouquet, a statue, brass birds, a candle, and books.  My area on the console table is smaller, so I used some of the same items on a smaller scale.

I first had a petty ivy on the console, I like how it trails down the side, but for spring I really liked how Amanda used flowers.

So I switched out the ivy for some pretty spring stems, and I switched out the pillow on the chair too.  It adds a bit more color to the space.

I used a tall wicker vase to hold tall spring stems and grasses.  For books, I used a marble book and added a brass magnifying glass.  My statue is a concrete Thinking Man.  She uses lots of brass in other areas of her room, so my brass lamp is a nod to the other brass details.

When you find an inspiration picture that you like, you don’t have to copy it exactly, use some of the same items and create an area that reflects your style and home.

Next up on the tour is Laura @  Decor To Adore.   I know you will love how she designs her table, she always pays such attention to detail.

I want a Thinking Man! Love the patina on it and I believe it would look much better with my things than a bust. Love how your table turned out. It’s styled beautifully. Thank you for joining in with us. Pinned!
