Spring Master Bedroom & A Wedding. Does your home decor ever influence your wardrobe? I found two really fun yellow and white pillows with jute trim at Ross the other day. I thought they would be fabulous on the patio this summer. However, we’ve had tons of wind the last couple of days, so I didn’t put them out there. I brought them upstairs to try out on the bed in the Master Bedroom and I loved them. They made the room so bright and cheery, so they stayed.
Then I got an invitation to a Spring Wedding for the daughter of a friend. This is to be a late afternoon wedding outdoors with an evening reception. How fun, I am so thrilled to have something that is semi-normal to attend. We have all been cooped up inside and social distancing forever, so going to a fun gathering is just what my soul needs.
Of course, I immediately looked at my wardrobe to see what I might wear. It would be warm and sunny for the wedding and then cooler for the evening reception. As I looked at my bed the yellow just looked so happy and the jute trim made me think about a straw hat that would be nice to block some of the afternoon sun.
I pulled out my favorite yellow silk jacket and started to pull together a great outfit that would work great for the occasion. As I laid it on the bed, my room came to life.
My yellow jacket, black turtleneck, black skirt and straw hat will be a great outfit. I can take the jacket off if it is warm and then put it on if it is cooler in the evening.
The yellow pillows are so pretty on the bed and I think they will be fabulous on the patio too.
It’s fun to have decor that can work in several places around the house.

Nice to have a fun new look for the bedroom and a pretty outfit to wear to a wedding too. Maybe I need to look at my wardrobe to find more decor ideas sometime.

So exciting to have a gathering to look forward to attending. I don’t have any idea when NJ will let us get some normal back. It doesn’t seem anytime soon. So sad and depressing. I miss my family and friends so much.
